History of School

Mashhad College of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1337 under the title of Jurjani Nursing School affiliated to the Ministry of Health and has been accepting students since the same year in the form of three-year courses with a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree. In 1358 and at the same time with the flourishing of the Islamic revolution, the colleges of nursing, Jurjani, Bahar, Mehrbakhsh, Tus midwifery college, laboratory science college and Noorbakhsh and Khayyam health schools became educational and research complexes that were managed under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.

In 1365, with the establishment of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and the abstraction of universities of medical sciences from the Ministry of Sciences, the Health Education and Research Complex with Narjes College of Nursing and Midwifery, affiliated to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, which, since 1347, parallel to Jurjani College, has the duty of education. He was in charge of trained nurses, merged and continued to operate under the title of Mashhad School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine.

The master's course in nursing, psychiatry and midwifery was launched in 2018 and 2019. Finally, in 1370, the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery and the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, as one of the faculties of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, has continued to move in the direction of quantitative and qualitative development. D) In ​​the fields of nursing and reproductive health, which was approved by the Council for the Expansion of Medical Sciences Universities of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education in 2015 and 2016, it is considered as a turning point in the history of the scientific developments of the faculty. New fields of nursing Special care and neonatal special care nursing at the master's level has also been launched since October 2018.

Currently, the Mashhad Nursing and Midwifery College has 6 educational groups and 67 teaching staff (59 faculty members and 8 non-academic faculty members with master's degree) in eight educational fields of nursing, reproductive health, midwifery, and care nursing. special care, neonatal special care nursing, operating room, intensive care and medical emergencies, and in the expert, master's and doctorate (Ph.D.) levels, he is engaged in training the human resources needed by the society in the health sector. According to the available statistics, the total number of students studying in the college is 1006 people, of which 217 people (21.5%) are studying in postgraduate courses (master's degree and doctorate).
